Coaches
will be responsible for their own team and actions of their fans.
Each Coach is allowed only ONE assistant coach. Each coach is
required to talk to their team’s parents for cooperation in keeping
these games for the KIDS! |
| C. |
Any
coach stepping on the playing floor during game action or leaving
their own team’s area to protest officials’ calls, will be given a
technical foul. All fouls on coaches will be automatic 2 points plus
possession of the ball to the opposing team. One temper technical
foul on a coach will stop the game and forfeit the game to the
opposing team. The coach will be dismissed on one technical foul and
will have to answer to the Board of Directors before being allowed to
coach any future games. |

Coaches’ technical fouls count as a team foul. |
| E. |
Bench
technical fouls count as a team foul. |
| F. |
Score sheets must be filled out 15 minutes before game time. Starters must be listed 5 minutes before the game. Score sheets must
be left at the gym. |
| G. |
The
first team listed on the schedule is the home team. The home team is required to furnish a scorekeeper. The visiting team is required
to furnish a timekeeper. |
| H. |
Please
list both first and last names of players on the score sheet. |
| I. |
Please
remember, during games and turnouts you are acting as a representative
of the league and conduct your actions accordingly. |
| J. |
There
will be no Sunday turnouts and no team turnouts during Thanksgiving
and Christmas. There will be no team turnouts on a day when school is
not in session. No turnouts are allowed during tournament week. Each
team is allowed a maximum of two hours per week for turnout. Any
scrimmage games are to count as part of your turnout time. IT IS
STRICTLY AGAINST LEAGUE RULES TO GO ANYWHERE OTHER THAN YOUR ASSIGNED
GYM FOR TURNOUTS. |
| K. |
No
coach, player, or parent shall incite any disruptive behavior of any
kind. |
| L. |
It is
the RESPONSIBILITY of each coach to maintain proper spectator
conduct. Coaches shall be held primarily responsible for the conduct
of their parents and spectators. At no time shall foul or abusive
language be permitted to a referee or youngster. |
| M. |
The
Board of Directors urges all coaches to communicate with their parents
before and during the course of the season. By involving the parent as
part of the team, you will reduce the chance of misunderstandings and
problems. |
| O. |
Please remember that our program depends solely on your
ability to get along with the schools. At this time our relationship
is good, but we must continue to maintain this relationship if our
program is to succeed. Please police your gyms after turnouts and
pick up litter and make sure your team members are out of the gym. |
| P. |
Coaches are permitted to provide direction to their team from the
sidelines as long as it is to their own team on points of strategy,
positioning, encouragement, and support. It is hoped that the tone of
voice will be informative and NOT CRITICAL OR OFFENSIVE. |
